What a day! Nolan was so excited for the sun to finally be out. He played outside for over an hour. At one point, I lost him and found him & Gus (the chocolate lab) down and the railroad tracks finding sticks!!! Yes, my heart stopped and I was so upset, but as soon as Nolan noticed me and started grinning and waving his stick and rambling on about him....gus.....sticks....fun......gus, yada-yada how can a mom be mad after that? I did give him a little scolding though and told him never to go by the tracks again! Ryan was in a lot of pain today... just a guess here, but could have been caused by any of the following: vaccuming under the couches, picking up the front lawn, cleaning the garage, graining the horses or changing the laundry. Yep, he did them all today. I have been so mad at him tonight that I want to wring his neck everytime he complains about the pain. It will be a good thing for us all when things get back to normal. Taylor was so excited the sun was out, she and her friends were playing baseball at school. The only problme they encounted through, was the fact that they couldn't find a baseball so thought they would use a basketball. Taylor just happened to be the first one up to bat and you can see the outcome. To hear the story as she tells it, "I was up to bat and we were playing so-and-so's (I can't remember the name of the kid) team and I wanted to beat them. I took the hardest swing I could and I hit that basketball square on, but as soon as the bat connected, it bounced right off and came back and got me in the face!" she claims she didn't cry and in fact, when the school nurse called she said Taylor wanted to stay at school. This picture was taken when she came home from school and tonight, her eye socket and cheekbone are all turning black & blue. UGGG. And Drew, well she was just glad I bought her some fruit roll-ups today. She's pretty easy to please! --mandi

Tell Ryan to stop trying to be as tuff as Taylor at take it easy!
Hey Ryan, at least you didn't run out of gas going to the dump. And, nice shiner Tay---grandpa would be proud of that. You can just see the wheels a turning in Nolan's brain so watch him closely. And Drew, only one word to describe you and it is "Whoa!". Love this site Sis, keep it going. Love, Mom
